Default Door panel trim

Guys, I know I am not alone in this, so here goes:

Is there anyway to keep the door panel trim pieces from cracking like crazy? I think I have replaced each side once a year or so the past 3-4 years. I have only driven the car 17,000 miles in the past 5 1/2 years.

I know this is a common problem, but is there anything that can slow it up a bit?

Which door panel trim pieces? I've never heard of them being such a problem that they need replacing that often.

That does seem like a lot. I know the firebirds have issues where you just need to not roll the window down all the way, but you have a camaro soo
