Default My 1st attempt at a Berger Panel

Sunday I bought a rear panel of a wrecked black 97 SS that was on CL.

I removed the emblems and sanded it down, I primed and painted it. I repainted the bowtie pewter. I am looking for a stock Z28 emblem I can paint pewter and stick on the panel also. I am also going to get some inserts for the CAMARO on the back. Either Stainless Steel or maybe Pewter if I can find any that color.

Looks good!
I would keep the painted pewter theme you have going for the emblems and find some vinyl letters in pewter opposed to the stainless letters. Might even find a different license plate bracket and paint it pewter to match and remove the stainless/chrome completely.

I believe this guy can help you with the pewter letters

I was looking through a junk yard the other day and found a back panel to do that to. They wanted $50 and the corner was smashed up so diffinatly would have needed work/fixing. Good or bad deal?

I paid $50.00 for mine and there was no damage. I have seen posts where people have bought them even cheaper.

I think it might look a bit better without the blacked out tail lights, but adding the pewter letters will help.
