Default Where to mount Antenna after being shaved?

What do you use for reception after the antenna is removed? And where do you locate it?

I mounted mine inside the quarter panel, stock antenna in its stock sleeve. I used one of the studs thats used to mount the back bumper on and have the antenna pointing forward & up inside the quarter. No hardware or remote antenna needed.

^ How good is your reception? Is it close to how it was before you relocated your antenna?

I am getting mine shaved right now and installed a remote antenna at the base of the window on the hatch. The performance has been weak. Maybe I should go with McCord's solution?

Is yours a short Camaro antenna? Any chance of a photo? You have to get an extension cable?

I will see what I can do, its all apart right now due to several bumper swaps for another project I am working on. I might be able to just hook it up to show you guys what I am talking about. Also its just the standard RC car camaro antenna with no extention or anything.
