Default Painting engine bay, any tips?

I am almost ready to paint my engine bay. I purchased some rustoleum satin black. I pretty much stripped the engine bay all down so i wouldn't paint anything other than what i wanted. I plan on scotch brighting the surface as well. Any advice before i go to town on this project? Thanks

ummmmm, dont get your wires wet, and make sure the heat wont effect the paint, and make sure you've got everything you dont want to paint coverd good so you dont get any over spray, and........ did you completely remove your engine and everything or are you just painting a small portion?

Just prep it good, with degreaser, and sand it down to rough up the surface a little. Use some 600 grit followed up by 1000 for that! Good luck!
