The clay bar should remove those spots. The rear bumper is a catch all for all the crap! As for the products. Just get a good quality wax/polish. For store bought, Meguairs or Mothers work very well. There are alot of great products out there and you will get a alot of opinions on the "best"

I would take a clear PIC of the spots to get a better Idea. Where is the car parked, is it near a tree??

As for best, your going to get 10 different answers.

If wash the car correctly and dry it and then feel the paint with clean finger tips and it feels rough, it needs a clay bar.

You can use water and quick detailer combo to help keep it lubricated.

I am a fan of Meguiar's products and many OFF the shelf stuff is avalible. A good combonation is NXT 2.0 Tech Wax and putting Meg's #26 Hi-tech Yellow Wax on top and then follow up with their Ultimate Quick Wax for that water shedding ability.

Mind you, you will need a shaded area and when going between coats you need some curing time at least 3-4 hrs, 12 is preferable. Put on with a Foam applicator (THIN COATS), buff off with a Terry Cloth towel.

I detailed a white c63 amg once and the wax I used on that was Dodo Juice's Diamond White Carnauba and Wolfgang's Paint Sealant. The combo did wonders for that white car. The paint came out looking smooth like ice and considerably hard. I know, I know, German Paint vs American Paint...blah blah... iuno that's all I got.

I used both Megs bars(well... 1.5, one hit the ground part way through), and now into a Mothers kit.. The mothers bars are tackier than megs, I find i have to rub clay off my hands from the mothers bars.

Not really, just take your time. Just make sure the surface is well lubed so the bar slides nice and easy. I tear off a piece and keep folding and mashing it flat. Once that piece is "dirty", I throw it away and get another piece. If you every drop it, throw it away. I work my way around the sides and do the flat surfaces last.
