Default Quick question about vht'ing

Im looking to VHT my front turn signals on my trans am. that yellow just stands out too much. i was wondering, if i did do this, would you still be able to see my blinker when i turn it on during the day time? the last thing i need is somebody not being able to see my blinker and crash into me.. im looking to completely black out the front lenses so its black. but i still want to be able to see my blinker when i turn it on. so for those of you who have blacked out your front corners, can you still tell you have your blinker on during the day? and if anyone can, can you post up some pictures of your blacked out front corners with your blinker on during the day so i can see how bright it is? thanks alot!

Lights off:

Just be careful with how many coats you put on. When you do it, stop as soon as you can't see any orange. That way you have "black" lenses which will still show the light and won't have a red tint to them.

I went really light and often with my coats, I think that is after 3 or 4 light coats. Best way to do it is like I said earlier, once you can't see the color of the lens, don't spray anymore. You can also use a flashlight in the socket hole to check how it will look when lit up.

It is unavoidable that at some angles you just can't see any light output.

example (the lights are on):

alright thanks for the tips. i was thinking.. if you used a LED bulb instead of a regular bulb, would the LED show up brighter? since it gives off a better light?

I blacked out my side markers. I got the clear lenses for the front with colored bulbs. The clear lens looks much better than the red colored stock lens in the back. Plus the LED bulbs might be a little brighter. I will be getting LEDs for all the markers once I get a few other projects finished.
