Grey as in light grey? and your pillars are the same color? even on light interiors the pillars are usually always dark, never seen them light.

They are dark gray not ebony. I had the same problem when i bought a used replacement center console in ebony because in the picture it looked gray. Not that it is installed it definitly is a different color. I just cant find paint that will match the dark gray interior. I am surprised that they dont come in gray or atleast try to match the OEM paint.

that would be the best way to match imo. just make sure you take the time and do good prep work. my only other thought is is make sure you match the level of gloss the rest of the trim you have if your picky.

I painted mine with an interior specific plastic and vinyl paint and it looks just like the rest of the trim (dark grey). I can grab the paint code and brand when I get home. The only bad part is its $20 shipped. So if you can find it in local stores that would be your best bet.

$20 bucks is not too bad as along as it matches. Can you post the paint code and the website that you got it off of? I have been every where around here looking for something to match. Napa, autozone, Advanced, I even checked walmart to see what they had and nothing. If i cant get paint to match then i probably wont end up doing a pod because it will look bad. Thanks for the help.

This one will work. http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/sem15303.html
I had to look up an old thread of mine where I asked the same question. This was the exact stuff I bought for dark grey.

The product in this URL is an exact match to the Ebony colored interior? If so, I've been looking for this for about 2 years!!

Please let it be true!!

No, this is not Ebony. This is Graphite... or the darker gray that Fbodys came with. If you know the SEM color code for Ebony you should be able to find what you are looking for by this manufacturer... as you can tell by the scroll menu on the link, they sell a lot of different colored interior paint this manufacturer sells.

FYI, what makes this paint good for interiors is it is flexible and will expand and contract without cracking. It is also very durable.

Black doesn't look too bad on the gray. But, go to your local auto parts store and get Duplicolor Vinyl/Fabric (works on plastic too) and get the charcoal gray.

Thanks for posting the link. Im bookmarking this for future reference. I'll take some pics tomorrow without the flash and post them. You'll want to paint it. Black will stand out and look out of place. The interior is dimly lit and colors arn't as pronounced like the exterior even with t-tops - which my car has. An exact "paint match" is not necessarily needed. I get in my car and the pillar looks the same as the one to my right. Under hard inspection, with a bright flash light you can notice a slight variance in color. The paint I sprayed on is a shade lighter. But it does not look different at all when im in my car driving around, not matter if it sunny or cloudy.

i always thought that it was best to have the pillar dyed, I'm interested in pics now. Painting it myself would be so much easier.
