Default New wheels! 19" HP Evos, NBM Formula

When I bought the car 6 months ago, the previous owner had put on a set of 17x9.5 TT2s. No offense to fans of that wheel, but I think they look terrible on Firebirds (and Camaros, for that matter). I really like "mesh"-style wheels. I was originally planning on buying some cheap 17" XXR 006's, and having the rears widened to 11" so I could run 315s. Unfortunately, the rear tires on the car developed slow leaks, and the tread was pretty worn down. I couldn't really afford to wait much longer to get a new set of wheels. I browsed the classifieds section here, and Yahelou had his 19x9.5" HP Evos for sale. I jumped on them immediately. Thanks Yahelou!

I didn't install the wheels right away, because I wanted to get some Koni 4/4s and Strano springs to get rid of the 4x4 stance. Unfortunately, my front passenger-side tire went flat yesterday - I think I may have bent the rim slightly on a pothole or something. So, I was forced to install the HP Evos. I took some pics with my cell phone - please excuse the "lifted truck" look. Anyone have some Koni 4/4s and Stranos they want to sell?

That is such a sweet looking wheel on the formulas and TA's . Nice choice and it looks amazing , especially with the navy . Of course it'll look hella sweeter with the Koni's and Strano's , so dont forget to update the pics

Wicked wheels man! I am still not 100% sure that the RPM 505's are an identical wheel. The mesh part seems to come out a bit more on them than the HP wheel.

well i sold the rims to fix the tranny and i looked everywhere for some cheap rims, but i gave up on that. so i went with oewheels C5 deep dish gunmetal rims to match the stripes and fit some 315s on them for my new found power.

The RPM 505s are not 100% identical to the HP's, but they're pretty close.

They look good, I just think the hyper light would have brought out the color of the car more, bit too dark for me.
Now just lower it and get a nice raptor hood!

By any chance could you expand? I've never seen them both in person.

Well, Im gonna go against the grain here. I think they look horrible. I dont think this type of wheel looks good on our cars. Looks like Im in the minority, haha. As long as you like em, thats all that matters.
