Default How to mount Raptor shift light in defrost vent

Hey, I have a raptor shift light, and went to install it the other day. I ended up cutting out the slits in the vent, epoxying it all, and drilling a 3/4 hole for the shift light. That didnt work out too well and it looks liek crap, I wanted to see and know what other people did to mount there's, so please post up if you have one in the defrost vent. I searched and there was little information i found, best thing i found was the camaro interior thread which wasnt a ton of help. Thanks

a rubber grommet would work in the hole.

I have a Harlan light. So I am not sure if the two are the same size.

My method was to cut out the vent slats until they were almost smooth. It snugged in perfectly.

the Harlan shift lights are larger than the raptor lights.. you didn't have to cut the defrost vents to get it in there but now that you have the best bet is prolly a rubber grommet like posted above or go to a junkyard and swipe one

Here is a Quote from a old thread. This guy used a Valve cover grommet from autozone.

Did anyone ever find out if the autometer single gauge pod and the raptor shift light in the ac vent combo provides good visibility for both?
