Default tinted taillights too dark.... repaint or LED lights?

I tinted my taillights with VHT, and at night, you can see the lights perfectly fine. However, during the day, its hard to see the lights when i have the flasher on. Will upgrading to LED lights help, or am I better off repainting the lights?

depends on what you like... do you like how they look now, or would you like the tint to be a lighter shade?

if you like how dark they are, add LED's and that will solve your problem, and you'll still have the dark black look. If you'd be okay with having a lighter tint, than sand them down and add less VHT.

if the leds dont fix it, you could wipe the vht off with paint thinner as long as they are not clear coated

depending on what kind of car you have thats an expensive compromise. Id sand and respray so the tint is where you want it, and if you want more light output / faster signal, grab some LEDs
