Default New GTO fuel rail covers

Saw this on Ebay, they say it will fit on late model F-body Ls1 engines. Probably some cutting needs to be done. Not bad looking but $249.00!!!! I guess they would not look to bad with "Firehawk" on them instead of "GTO".

For that price, I'd get some in carbon fiber, cut to precisely fit the fbody!!

Minor modification is a BIT of an understatement.

Take a look at my custom made 2002 Firehawk Trans Am FRC's and look at how much "modification" you will need before they'll fit an F-Body LS1.

Damn Dawg, those look freakin' awesome man! I would think that you would have needed less modification on the driver side, and more on the passenger side.

Actually they will go fit right on. I'm in the process of doing it right now. That's all you have to do is trim the fronts of the covers so they are both alike. And shave that GTO emblem off.

Get us a pic when you get them on. I'm curious on what they would look like.
Thanx!

Yeah, I'm still waiting to see someone slap them on their F-body. Also wanting to here if they were a direct fit or alot of cutting is being made to get them to fit.

The only thing that makes me think they won't fit is the height of them. They may not fit under the cowl. The GTO FRC's seem to be "taller" than the C5 FRC's I had.

Actually you can get alot of sleep because you won't have to work on these covers that much. Thats all you have to do is trim the fronts, and of course get rid of the GTO emblem, but thats a given. Trust me. They snap right onto the fuel rail. See for yourself. This is childs play.

nice.

did you get the part numbers off of them, before you installed them?

I really don't want to get raped by the ebay people for 250 for some covers that should be wholesale of $25 or so.
