All of that stuff comes out with a few bolts per piece. You should take them off instead of just spraying them and masking with a little bit of tape. That overspray is terrible.

Looks alot better. I just did this to my car. I took everything off the front of the car and painted it. Its really easy to pull everything off. Definitely cleans it up.

Great idea but you should have taken the piece out. It's far less effort than cleaning up the overspray.

thank you. I thought of that after I sprayed it. I was just doing on bracket and seeing what it looked like but my friend wanted to keep spraying mine and his so kept doing it. Im going to take it apart next weekend and work on it for a few weeks since I can do that. =) and also repaint some of the white car frame and also the ttop metal bar since that is fading too.

I have a feeling the next thread started by Op will be...

"Fixed horrible overspray and repainted brackets correctly after paint flaked due to no prep"

You had the right idea man, you just shouldn't have been lazy.

You just said you did it the right way and defended your point by saying there was more you could've done. It looks ok, but will be 1000X better when you take them out and actually do them the RIGHT way. Your ambition is good, just unrefined.
