Default Fuel Rail Covers on a 99 SS?

I have done a search but can't find any clear info on what years to use or what has to be done to make them fit.So forgive me if I overlooked it but I didn't see one. I also checked the newbie tech.

Thanks to all

Cuts are dependent on your mod's.
If you still have AIR/EGR, then it may be advisable to make some cuts in the back of each cover.
I drill for the oil dipstick, & I drill/slot for the throttle bracket.

I installed frcs on my engine using the 97-98 vette covers. Only thing I cut was for the throttle bracket. Can you explain exactly why you hack half of it off? Mine fit just fine. Should've cut for the dipstick but ended up just bending it out of the way a little. Just seems kinda stupid to have half an frc. 'specially when you have to pay for a whole one!

The way the AIR pipes go around the back of the engine does not allow you to use the whole cover I had to hack some off of mine I used the picture on afterthoughts auto website.

You don't cut them in half. It just takes a notch on either side, or cut the corner off. Its done for the AIR system if you have it.

Red Z06 covers will work but, ..., You either cut a second slot in the driver's side, or you run one of the fuel lines on the underside of the cover. It's been done both ways.
The numbers I posted above are the 97-98 covers. The later covers only have one slot on the driver's side.

Edited.

I HACK the **** out of them so the customer can easily install without any fitment issues. But it seems I should've been following your instructions for the last 10years.
Glad to hear yours fit fine.
Half an FRC, ...
Thanks for your insightful, helpful post.
I surely didn't mean to offend. Just asking a question. Even with air it wasn't that tight of a fit. If that's the way you do it that's cool. They look good. I'd love to have a custom set done one day. Kinda sucks saying Corvette. People not in the know always ask why if its a Camaro it says Corvette. What do you use to make it say camaro? A decal?

I have a set of red ls6 covers for sale that were on my T/A and are pre-cut to fit right on your car. Like they said above you run one under the cover and one through it. Let me know if you are interested in the covers.
