Thumbs up I get to do some damage now.....

I got my buffer finally!!

I just got her yesterday, already have the 7" Velcro Backing plate on and I elected to use the Hoop Handle. But if I want it does have the regular single handle bar.

At this point I need to get a junkyard piece to work on and practice. If anyone wants to chime in on Pad and Chemical Recommondations, feel free too.

I am thinking of a good combo that always delievers great results would be Meguiar's M105 and followed up with M205. I have the chart from them on the pad/speed recommondation.

Let me know what you think!

Happy 30th Birthday to Me!

Very nice. You have the right idea. Get a few junk yard pieces and have at it.

Nice. I was about to pick up a 9227C until I replaced my old Meg's twins (#83/80) with the better #105/205 and got my faith back in the good old PC. Optimum products work very well with rotaries. I believe I have some OC and OP somewhere that I'd be willing to sell for cheap.

The "Hoop" is where it is at. The kit did come with a handle too IF I wanted to use it or use the grinder with an different attatchment. BUT considering the use, the handle may put uneven pressure on the pad on the left-to-right motion as I used my right hand to actuate the trigger and the same hand to twist, like cracking a motocycle throttle. But the left hand may put the pressure where it is not needed.

The hoop allows for even guidence IMO and that how I learned to use it on my initial run.

Thanks man! It was definitly a good 30th Birthday.

I was talking with Mike Stoops from Meguiars and he vouched for the m105/m205 combo would be playing a big part but in some situations to have m80/m83 on hand for "Dry" out paint, it has oils that help rejuvenate. Basically that the M105/M205 combo should work out as the optimal combo 95% of the time, but there will be that car that if I did not have that stuff on hand. I would be in "Big Trouble"
