largest wheel and tire size I'm just about to get my 383LT1 back from H-town and am in need of some/alot of rubber for my 94 Z28. Question is - what is the largest wheel and tire I can put underneath w/o any lip rolling on the fender. I've heard different things and would like the straight scoop. Thanks

If your car rides high enough and you never bottom out, then you might not cut the tires on the fender lip.
Going to 18's might hurt traction -- you can do better with drag radials on your old wheels and use the 18's for daily use. But I want looks and handling.
I have on my car what is probably the largest widest tire/wheel combo that will fit on a lowered f-body. My requirements:
- affordable tire size from a number of brands
- affordable wheels (not custom 3-piece)
- within maximum diameter for fitment on the front (25.7") with clearance from lock-to-lock
- same diameter front-to-rear for ABS and ASR calibration
- same diameter as stock for speedo calibration
- no spacers required
- no mods to front or rear wheelwells required (even with suspension fully bottomed out)

I settled on (4) 18x10.5" wheels with 275/35/18 Yokohama AVS dB tires.
The tires are quiet (unlike my last set of BFGs!) and they don't hunt all over the road on uneven pavement. Looks and handles great. With the silver painted finish and stock centercaps, I could pass them off as factory option to most people.
