Default Camaro Ebay LED 3rd Brake Light Installed

So I decided to order the LED brake light from ebay to give it shot. It was installed on my dad's 02 Z28. It fits the Z28 spoiler just great. The quality of the plastic is decent. It has 12 LEDs on it.

This is the light that was installed. It needs to be spliced into the factory wiring. It still has the locations for the bulb locations that twist in. I kept the factory plugs to go back to stock at any time.

It was nice out so I finally got a chance to toss this on. I think it's an inexpensive but decent looking appearance mod; take only a few minutes to do. I plan on tinting the yellow turn signal red later on when it's warmer out.

(Thanks to Guz for the idea.)

BTW, no ABS light issues - just splice into the stock wiring and good to go.

I've got one but it is a single row of LEDs, spaced much closer together.

Pics?

BTW, isn't it crazy that we're doing it and we'll really never get to see it in action, unless someone else is driving our car, LOL. I used an ice scraper to push the brake pedal down to test it, ha ha.

Looks great. It is definitely brighter at night as well.

You should post a pic of it when you get a chance.

Only have a real crappy cell pic of it. Yes I know the car was dirty. It was supposed to be the smoked one but it really wasn't, so I darkened it some more with VHT. Lights up better in person than the cell phone got. Took the pic last year sometime, before the accident.

Doesn't look too bad. But I agree, I am more a fan of the clean stock look. I just feel like the LED's could have better placement to make it look nicer.

I was looking at something like this but I could not find it in all red. The red one has been on the car for a few months now with no issues. All of the LEDs are still working.

I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not, but now that it's on, I think it looks pretty good, especially given how much it cost. At first I thought it might look out of place with the regular taillights (and there is no way I'd go LED with the taillights - ) but after driving around I noticed that new cars have LED third brakes and regular tails.

That's funny, because when I bought that one I saw a lot of red ones but I didn't want red. Can't rely on ebay stock sometimes I guess
