Default Nitto tire size question?

Will Nitto NT-555R 315/35/17 fit on the rear 2000 Camaro SS wheels (17 x 9)

stick with a 275 for that 9'' wheel. you will see no gain in contact patch with the 315. not to mention its not recommended by any wheel or tire manufacturer.

Well even if I wont see any difference in traction, I want to put a wider or bigger tire on the back, just so it sets itself different from the front. What about a 285 or 295.

You're not going to see a difference with a 285 or 295, not for the extra $$$ you'll pay. THing is, if you go bigger than 275, it will still be the same width. No lie, it's just going to bubble and the contact path wont be flat. Great way to get irregular wear, not to mention losing sidewall stiffness. Stick with the 275's for a 9"
tire.
