Default Went Satin Black

UPDATED PICS, scroll down

ADDED MORE PICS PAGE 2

I started doing some minor body work to the car back in December. The weather got crappy, and I got busy and finally finished her up last weekend. There is still some more body work to do, but I was crunched for time. Sorry for the crappy quality of pics, I am going to wash her tomorrow and hopefully get my hands on a nice camera and take some pics.

A few days later, HID's installed, still not washed

I used John Deere Blitz Black Paint. It is a very good alternative if you are on a budget. I did not shoot any of the jams, as the car will be re-painted white, completely inside and out in a few years. I think it turned out alright, for doing all the work outside, and painting it outside. There is some orange peel, but I do not want to wet-sand and buff it because I do not want more gloss in the paint. Let me know what you think.

Yes...need better pics....NEED THEM NOW!!!!

I just made the appointment with the painter to have mine done and need to make up my mind on the color soon. I have been considering satin black...even had an old bumper painted a couple weeks ago so I could experiment with it and see how it responded to water spots, scratches, waxes, etc. Still having trouble deciding. I need more pics so....GET OFF YOUR LAZY *** AND GO GET A DECENT CAMERA!!!

I've seen clearer images of Bigfoot.

Though you can't go wrong with satin black on a T/A. You'd do well to remember that, dubga.

Like I said, sorry for the crappy pics. It was taken on my 5 year old blackberry that was given to me when I had to get rid of my Iphone. As for buying a good camera, I would, except I am a poor college student, and all my extra money goes into the car, has since high school I am going to try and get ahold of a friends camera this weekend and take some better shots, I also plan to smoke all the lights on the car. I just realized, this should probably be in the paint and body section.

Maybe he was smoking a Cheech & Chong size joint and the smoke hazed the whole picture.

I gotta hand it to you bud...painting your car just sitting out in the open using a couple of blankets to mask it...that's pretty gutsy. Props!!!

Thanks, like I said it's not perfect, but it will do for now. It's starting to rain here, so hopefully Sunday I will be able to wash the car and snap some good pics. I need to polish both of the front wheels too, but the back ones just need cleaning.

I've been contemplating this, as probably half the clear is missing on my car now. Between this and the car SRJ showed in the LT1 section last month its looking like a option.
Now that you have your camera half sorted out, could you get some daytime shots?
