Default Gas Door Installed (quick info and updates) Read on last replies.

I still didnt install the Eclipse Aluminum fuel Door that I bought (since most votes went for "stay stock" and I didnt have much time to actually do it).

Check out the NEW pics under the album "Custom Fuel Door Idea" in the following link and VOTE for what you think looks better!

sorry I dont have "stay stock" as an option this time since I hate the stock piece.

Thanks for voting!

I've got mixed feelings about the doors but if you're gonna do it, I say the untouched or the chrome bolts only.

I voted option 4. Looks close to stock, but has an aftermarket panache.

I really like #4!

Wish I had the nerve to hack one onto mine like that!

In my opinion, definitely paint the whole thing (option 4). It keeps the visual continuity. On your dark blue car, it would stand out like a sore thumb.

i was leaning towards number 1 the most since it had more of a "racing fuel door" look? but I did put number four as an option since people tend to really like it for some reason (i saw that in an earlier post).

I kind of think that having it fully painted looks pretty much stock and you could only tell it looks different if you stand up really close to it to notice that its actually another fuel door?

I guess I might be wrong since the votes should speak for themselves. Hope voters are not voting for option 4 only because they think the others look too ricey or something... lmao

let me hear some more opinions on this I'm aiming for 50 votes. Thanks again.

Where's the option for "leave it stock" ?

Looking at the pics on the site listed, I think the stock looks the best... I think having the fuel door painted or changed looks like ***... I've seen it on mustangs (bullitt?) and it looks like *** on them too... audi TTs ? take a guess...

It just distrupts the flow of the car... looking at a perfect F-Body and then seeing the eyesore of a painted fuel door.... painting it is supposed to bring attention to it right? What is the purpose of bringing attention to the fuel door? only thing I can think of is "hey look, i'm driving a REAL car that runs on gas... not a slow electric car" ...

I say leave stupid looking fuel doors to rice and mustangs

horist, again Im open for all ideas here. So thanks for your post.

The reason I wanted to change the fuel door was because I THINK the stock piece looks like crap just as how you think this piece looks like *** lol. If there was a better fuel door out there I would of looked into it.

I did post a similar poll up once with the option "stay stock" and it was the one with the most hits. But, I do think the other ones do look better and thats why I asked for opinions and suggestions. If you got any other comments please feel free to tell me about em.. Im all ears.

Again thanks for your opinion ill take it into my consideration.

wish i could think about a new fuel cover but we dont have many options out there for camaro's and Trans ams. Ill probably have to make one up from scratch and that will be ridicuolously (sp?) expensive...

if you have a pic of what your talking about let me take a look at it... maybe i could do something... hmmm...

I'm thinking a gas cover the same size minus a few thousandths so it can open, then a gasket same color that almost touches , but is just thin enough that it doesn't...

But dunno what it would cost... I really don't like the stock fuel covers myself... I hate that lip... but it's required to open it....

I guess the biggest thing I don't like is the contrast in colors ... and if those are all photoshop, then this post was a compliment to you! cause i couldn't tell the difference! (but then again, at work my other team mates do graphics/color stuff... i just program the back end )

My first choice would be option 5, stock. But I have to say 4 isn't that bad. Personally, I wouldn't think about the first 3. I'd say find something else to make original , let the bullits have their gas doors. But you're the one who has to see the car every day, get what you like best.

I agree with most, #4 if you are gonna do it. I like the sleek look with all as subtle as possible for that street machine look.
