Well, I'm only 5'11", so I don't speak from experience, but with the seat back, I think you'd be ok. Just find a fbody near you, and ask to sit in it. Go to a dealer or something, so you will know for sure.

I'm 6'5 and have a Z28 with T-tops (gives a little more room). I also had a Vette for a couple of weeks and fit in it pretty well, the key is getting your seat adjusted just right.

Jim Mcilvaine got an 02 vert so his head could stick out the top....He is ~ 7'x" He had his seat moved back and down from the stock location too...I think you can fit

If you would like to email him, He goes by "Jim@GMHTP" on the board, look for him in the "other events of interest" forum

MY buddy is over 6' He drives a 00 T/A. I drive a 98Z. He fits ALOT more comfortable in mine for some reason. Both are leather t-tops auto seats... I guess its the style of the seats.

6'5" here and hardtop z28. No problems, actually more leg/hip/shoulder room compared to my old altima; my seat is tilted back a little, I don't like sitting straight up anyway, and big doors are very convinient [unless you park in a tight space..]

6'6", not a problem. When I have the helmet on at the track though, can't tilt my head forward very far.

6'4", no probs. I also remember reading a GM High-Tech Perf. a while back with a 7'1" guy getting 35th SS cuz he fit in very nicely.

6'4" 300lbs here.......... Plenty Leg room, but the seat has taken a little wear over time(leather looks new but the padding is kind of flat on the inside of the seat). But she still rides fine.

If you barely fit in the Cobra, you're good to go for the Camaro/Firebird. The mustang accomodates a more "robust" person a little better, but our cars handle tall people better. I'm about 6'4" and own a Firehawk and my "robust" friend has a GT.

I think you will be fine in the driver seat. Just don't let someone drive your car and you have to ride in the passenger seat. Don't work to well. I took a tall friend about 6'7 for a ride. His knees were so close to his chest he could have licked his knee caps. I say go for it. 98 z28 here.
