Does the Trans Am come with an option for heated seats??

some company does that... you can buy a kit and install it to allow heated seats. Let me check out who does that i think its rksport.com ... lemme see... hmmm...

Yep people are making aftermarket kits for heated seats and they are also relying on the fact that you won't know that your alternator output and wiring is not designed for it. Remember these are hi-current drawing units like your rear window defroster that can cause problems when not designed into the car from the factory. Just my .02cents!

Are you sure about alternator not being able to keep up? I think most people would only use a seat heater until the in car heating is up to temperature... Nobody I know that has them uses them all the time. No more than 10-15 minutes at a time, tops.

also, www.inseatmassage.com carries them, they make their own kits.

I just took a look at my buddy's TA and in the fuse panel one of his fuses says "defrost/seats". What's the deal?

Probably the the power for the seats and the rear defogger are on the same circuit.

My Recaros are heated (and cooled) and the alternator has never had a problem with it.. also the car has never burned up from using it either <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

heated seats in California.. the ultimate luxury.. lol
