Default Brighter T/A Taillight Bulb Replacements?

i have blacked out taillights and im wondering if there is a better replacement bulb for them? i just feel like you can not see them that good but i want to keep the tails dark

+1 on this. Would like LED bulbs that can spread the light output nice and evenly

I have the 30 SMT tower on my driver side tail light and they are as bright or slightly less bright than the incandescent lights. When I get some other projects done I will probably order a 48 or 60 to compare to the 30 to see the difference.

^Those will be dimmer due to the chrome coating... Stock bulbs are your best bet IMO
