Here's a place in Florida. They're very high end but do outstanding work. I think the waiting list is 16 weeks right now. Just sent some plastic center caps to them to get redone and from what I found doing research...you won't find any better. www.customcoatings.net 850-562-0538

They are fairly expensive and the customer service is not so hot. But this is the only place that I know of here in the U.S. that actually "chrome plates" plastic just like metal. They use a special process where the parts are first coated with zinc, and then that zinc coating is plated like any other metal part. All of the other places use a process known as Vacum Metalizing... it is not the same thing. Click on the pics in my signature if you want to see how they turned out.

But you better contact them today if you want your parts by spring. It took them several months to get my pieces back <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> .

Layson's Restorations provides a plastic chroming service. I don't have personal experience with them, but thought I'd pass the info on anyway.

It was nothing against you, I was just meaning that there must be more than a few places doing this since so many plastic parts are chromed..

Oh, I heard of a place called "model plating" in Bell Gardens, CA that does this also.. I havent had a chance to check it out yet though..

Here is a site where they list a ton of platers (dont think most do plastic).. you will see Model Plating listed there with a contact phone number..

http://www.namf.org/memberdirectory/malpha.cfm?word1=F

I think they do a lot of stuff for people that build custom models (hence the name).. good luck..
