Thinking of blacking out my tailights... [Pics]
Hey guys, I'm getting sick of how colorful the back of my car is so i think it's time to go monochrome. I wanted to completely blacken out the tailights but in my opinion that looks like ***. This is what I came up with in photoshop:

I'd say blackout the whole light and not leave the white reverse lights. I have a black Formula with taillight covers am partial to the blackout look.

i like the black out look but i have had to replace my tailights because it caused them to melt and warp inward. no joke. but other than that i love them

I would recommend you get your lights smoked from a place called www.smokinlights.net. I know the owner of this site and he did my tail lights on my 2001 Z28. The result is great, much better than just a plastic cover. Also I have been pulled over for speeding a few times and the cops haven't said anything about my lights. The Z28 in the gallery area of his site is my car. Hope this helps.

I have taillight covers and have not noticed any melting. Then again, I've noticed that all those who complain about melting own Camaros.

I'm actually going to be using either VHT Nite-Shades or go to a tinting shop and have them do it. That way I can remove them anytime I want and it will look like it came from the factory rather than use thick covers. I'll see how it turns out.
