Default hard water spots question

My wife has some pretty bad hard water spots on windshield. Would it be OK to use something like CLR or Lime-Away to clean the windshield? It's not going to etch it or anything like that is it?
Thanks

Mike

Those products are safe on glass. I would be extremely careful around the paint. Pour it directly onto a towel and rub it on. try not to let it run down a painted surface.

Sounds silly but try white vinager.

Another product to try is called 'Barkeepers Freind' - somethig like that. It is supposed to be great for glass. It is a powder, and comes in a card board can like "Comet" does.

If those products don't work try a product called Rare Earth it's a glass product used by auto glass shops to remove small scratches and deposit, it's what I finally had to use to get the deposit's off my windows, you'll have to order through the glass shop.

If you can get the product smokin' joe 00 ss has recommended I would go with that, Joe's glass was looking kinda nasty before he used Rare Earth. Good luck.
