Check out my custom camaro headlights
heres some pics of my custom black head lights.
Thay where a big pain to do but it was worth it in the end (pics are in the link) </font>

looks great! ive done alot of paint/bodywork to my car and wanted to do it then but,was scared i would f*** up the light.ive heard you can use a heat gun,blade. what about sanding,prep.thanks.

i did mess up my lights really bad on the one side (the first side i did) i cracked it in 2 places. So on the 2end light i used a lot of Brake cleaner.( i just used a little on the fist light) The brake cleaner is about the only thing that well eat away at that rubber seal. And no the cleaner didn’t eat away at the Plastic. just try not to get to much on the clear parts.
The key is to give the Cleaner time to eat away at the lights rubber seal so i say hit them with cleaner about evere 10 mins or so for about a hr maybe long depends on how much Rubber GM used on the light
as for the prep i just used Primer

It's just me I guess but can you tell me what you did? I'm looking at the pics and I can't see that you did anything..
