Unless you're spending at LEAST 3-4K for a full car paint job, you probably will not be happy with the end result.
You should ask some questions of any body shop you go to:
1) How many coats of each(base and clear) will you be using?
2) Do you color sand between in coat?
3) Will you buff out the final coat of clear?
4) Do you have a full car spray booth and will the car remain in there while drying?
These are just some basics. Do a search on automotive painting and you'll learn a lot more.
Thanks
