I was able to snag that hood up for 450 a few months ago i got ahold of him and he actually took the hood back to rodger and he shipped it to me in Missouri for about $120. A hell of a deal and Rodger was awesome for helping us out and saved me a long drive to pick it up.

I still haven't put my hood on.

Think one man could get it done?

The answer is yes. I installed it a couple of days ago. The hood was a perfect fit. I had it on and adjusted in 30 minutes. Roger is amazing. I'm getting a lot of compliments from people in my circle of life.

I just bought one of the new ones. Do I need to modify the latch or the struts or anything? This is my first ever hood swap lol. I read about people having to cut up the latch on the old ones but on his ebay add it said uses all factory hardware and bolts in place.

Roger's is direct bolt on, no modification necessary.

when he sends you the email notifying you of the hood shipping out, he also tells you how to best go about lining it up and has this image attached to it showing how to modify the hook, personally I just notched the bottom so I could bend teh handle section down, but then I didn't like how the font end (where you normally put your hand) was so I cut off the flat area for a little more clearance, I'll get a picture of mine later and add it to this post then.

that said, if you previously had a FIREHAWK hood then NO MODIFICATION would be needed as it's latch is designed differently.

Hmmm I didn't have to modify my hook for my old hood to work.

I bought it from a friend that bought it from roger last month so I don't have the email lol. I have a stock formula hatch so hopefully it bolts right In cause I won't be able to cut the latch up.

then your hooks handle was bent somehow already.

you might be able to bend it down enough to close but with the full handle in place, it's more a safety concern as to whether the hook will actually catch like it's supposed to, as when the hood is fully closed the handle of the hook actually holds the hook OPEN, not latched like it's supposed to.

Also I only used 1 of the hood struts, with both in place i couldn't get the hood to close and one holds the hood in the up position but allows it to drop easily when closing.

If you sig is accurate to your location your only like 2 hours from me.

here's what I did.

looks like you need to raise the hood bump stops on the passenger side, specifically the one between the headlight and the windshield washer res, it's sitting a bit low on that side.

also keep in mind that hook is a SAFETY feature it keeps the hood from flying up in your face if something where to happen to the hood latch.

Yea I haven't finished adjusting it. It started to pour in the middle of the install so got it on there and lined up the best I could. I will be replacing the safety latch either modify the factory when I have time or get a slp firehawk one if I can find one and put it on. I understand what it's there for and this car isn't a daily. It probably won't even get driven before on is put on.

I know. Yesterday was fun though. I took a strap off the cover on our boat to hold the hood when going to get it. I didn't put It back on the boat cause I was worried about getting the hood on. Got the factory flat hood off. Starts pouring. Threw a trap over the formula and ran to the boat to put the strap on so the boat didn't fill with later then when it slowed down enough to be bearable we bolted the superhawk on and it stopped raining right as we finished but it said it was suppose to pour here all night haha.it happens though. It was fun lol. Yea you're not to far from us. If anything is going on kinda close let me know. We try and do everything we can.

Btw. the formula is my fathers. Here is a link about the car.
