Re: sweetest ss hood
you can find that hood at http://www.dgmotorsports.com
Functional... carbon fiber, will cost you about $1200 though. VPN is working on a similar hood for about $450-$500 price range.
http://www.ftforce.com/chevrolet_cam...nce_parts.html
That same car... I'd like to know how and who rolled the rear wheel wells and flared them out. That looks tight! And I could squeeze my 315's in their easier.

Re: sweetest ss hood
Yup, that's a sweet hood, the VFN one will be different unforunately, but i would love the ZL-1 hood of Jon Moss' Camaro.
The company that did the car is Wheel to Wheel in troy, MI. They built the car, and did the fender flaring.

Re: sweetest ss hood
The motor was an aluminum 572 ci donavan big block, that made like 700 hp, i can't find the article now, but that car has been around for awhile, it started life as Moss' company car, then origionally had a dual plenum setup on a big block with the 93-97 clip, then they updated to the newer clip and donavan and single carb like fuel injection setup, i have seen it both at Camaro Superfest, and in downtown Mt. Clemens locally to me. It was in Mt clemens during the time they were doing the whole Boss Vs. Camaro thing, they had them both downtown to drool at. That hood is exactly what i want, if someone makes it, it will sell, but not a 4" stock SS hood, the exact hood that Moss has PLEASE

They are very expensive mine cost me around $1300 after shipping. You have a choice of either the functional or none functional, prices of each vary. I have the functional one. It took me over a year to find that hood, only downside to it is it is very thin and when you get it in order to put it on you have to drill out the holes yourself to put the damn thing on,otherwise take it to a bodyshop. The hood only weighs about 6-8 pounds.

Re: sweetest ss hood
Sorry about the anticipation, but my computer wont let me post the pic. so I'm going to girlfriends house and posting it off of her puter. The hood is'nt on the car anymore due to the thin fiberglass and the cold. You guys will get a brief idea of what it looks like if you imagine it on the car. Will also post 2000 camaro and the 1969 SS for ya.

For some reason I can't get a copy of the picture copied to this site. It won't work. If you want a picture of the hood send me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. E-mail me at PlyBoy1917@aol.com
