This is not a one size fits all question you're gonna get. I can tell you though, that I have my SS dropped about 1.3" in the rear and with minimal pounding of the wells, the wheels & tires fit no problem. I did not have to pound the inner well, but I had less than 1/4" of clearance with my rear end centered (APHR). If you get the correct offset (GS) then I don't think rolling the fenders will be necessary.

I don't think you have to worry about tires rubbing the lip of the fender, only the inner wheelwell. Stock height, my Kuhmo V700's did rub a little (inner wheelwell). My Nitto DR's did not. It depends on the tire. Some 315's are actually wider than others. The Kuhmo's are very wide, but they look so sweet from the rear

I have sportlines and 11" wheels and i didn't have to roll anything, trim anything, or beat anything.

I also did the 17x11 315 thing and I have the 2.0" sportline drop. No need to roll anything. However...under hard cornering when I had my tire pressure at track psi (20ish) I would have enough tire deflection to rub. At 35psi it wasnt an issue. However, I drive alot wit the psi low so I rolled my lips just slightly and problem solved.

Mine have a tenancy to rub over certain bumbs in the road. But I have also heard that others dont have a problem.
