Default Did a little painting of my interior......

Since I got the flames in the car I wanted to start working on the drab interior. So I decided to take part of my console out and paint it pewter and then flame it I've been working on it off and on for a couple weeks. I put about 20 coats of primer filler wetsanding it in between every 7th coat or so till I got the piece all nice and smooth...no more texture. I put about that many coats of Pewter on and finally laid out the flames and painted them this past weekend.

It now has 7 coats of clear to which I'll add a few more. Then I'll let it sure before I put it back in the car. Next is the whisper lid and FRC's. In the spring I'll be doing the same thing to part of my door panels &lt

Let me know what you all think

Thanks for the compliments...and akaceril ..Im a "dudette" in case you missed my name

Tudds..yes I painted that myself. I have an Iwata Revolution airbrush. I did the flames like the painters do....I laid out the flames free hand with pinstriping tape then masked off the rest of the are with masking tape. I started with the orange then purple and finally magenta. After I had several coats I started to blend them more where the colors meet and ended up putting a fine layer of the purple over the orange because it was too bright. I had taped off the shifter diagram thing but ended up painting over it in orange and handpainting the numbers back on.

I like to see some pics of that installed. I am hesitant to attempt anything like that. I am anything but an artist. Looks BadAzz.

At the height of the summer the parking lot is completely filled by 5pm. They park in the grassy areas as well and now they've put in a daycare at the top of the lot so there's some more parking spaces available

Here's a pic from there this past summer

We usually get there around 3:30 or so. I'm not sure what way you would want to come up...we have some friends in Fredericksburg and they take some back way ...think its Rt17 to 28?? The BK is on Rt 28 @ the 234 bypass in Manassas..right by the small airport. They have the cruise-in's every Saturday in the warm months. Hope to see you there! Let us know when you're headed up to it
