Default Calipers go BLING! BLING!

My simple 12 bolt install has turned into an overhaul of my braking system.....remove ABS, change lines, replace the pads, and make them look one of a kind.

After a long debate about powdercoated or polished, I decided on both. I just didn't like the idea of polishing that iron and having to clear coat it. It took a little time to smooth everything out, the pits are deep and that iron caliper mount is tough! I really smoothed the caliper mount up nice and it really shows. The powdercoat looks flawless. It's bright mirror red with a clear topcoat. The only thing that upset me a little was polishing most of the back side of the caliper only to figure out it won't be seen!! Oh well, atleast it's lighter.

Let me know what you think. The idea has crossed my mind to offer this as a package deal. Polished caliper with your choice of powdercoated caliper mount color and possibly some NICE red shiney raised bowtie emblems to stick on the caliper. I'll be tracking down the right size for mine here shortly. Unfortunately, my car won't be up and running for a few days while the 12 bolt goes in and brake lines are changed, so I don't have any car pics that show how well they accent the red car.

Enjoy!

The links don't work. You need the community links, not your logged in links.

Very Nice! I really like the red brackets. I polished my brake calipers last summer, but did not do anything with the brackets, but after seeing yours, I may have to have them powder coated.

You did an awesome job on both polishing and powdercoating!

I just don't think I like them together.

Thanks guys!

Toxic Texan: They are my community links but I linked the picture directly, instead of the site link, that was probably it. They're fixed now.

Red TA: I got the Fikse's a couple years ago from a company in CA you don't want to deal with.

MOBE: When you see the final pics you'll change your mind!

Oh believe it or not, they look much better in person. If anybody is interested in a set we can discuss pricing and options, it should be very reasonable. I know alot of people don't have the time or know how, let alone powdercoating capabilities.

Have a good Day!

Looks great. I did mine the opposite (painted calipers, chrome brackets). That looks very nice on your car. Good job

*caught in a trance* THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!! I would LOVE to do that to my car but I wouldn't be able to keep them polished. Can you put a clear coat over the caliper?
