Default Wax or Sealant?

My g/f got me a PC and all the polishing pads and compounds. But I haven't decided on how finish it off, wax or a sealant? Can you mix both? (carnuba wax and sealant on top?)

Whats the best way to protect it?

Everyone has their own opinion on this stuff so you're going to get multiple answers. I say pick a good name brand and try some of their product and keep trying things until you find what you like best.

I've been using zaino (yea yea yea, here comes the 1xxxxx amount of people coming in to say it's over hyped) with good longevity and been happy with it. I do a couple of coats of Z2 and/or Z5 followed up with their CS. I literally just use it 2-3x a year because it holds up.

I've heard good things about adam's polish though.

Sealant, then carnauba over the top of the sealnet is the proper order, if you want to multi step your LSP.

It doesn't give you much extra protection, but it does add depth to the shine.

A sealant will generally provide you with more protection than a carnauba based wax.

Yeah I was told by Autogeek to use a sealant and wax. Apply the sealant and then take it off and let it cure over night and then apply your wax. I ended up going with the Wolfgang sealant and Nattys Red Paste Wax from Autogeek.

Here's the thing...Zaino is awesome if you never deviate from their little system. Yes I like their products, but detailing many cars as a business with their products is not cost effective. This goes to show you that cheaper, easier to use products can be had a smaller scale as well.

It goes sealant, then wax.
