How long do polished parts hold up
I'm going to have just about everything off the car and I thought about doing some polishing. How long does the shine usually hold up? My car stays outside and sees maybe 100 miles a week. I don't want to put the time into it and a month later you can't even tell I did it.

If you drive your car that much I doubt it will be worth it. Will take you a long time to keep it looking nice. Plan on an extra hour each time you wash your car. Depending on how much you have done.

Valve covers and intake manifolds hold polish very well actually. You can also always get a nice clear powder coat put on the part, it takes away from the initial shine but keeps it polished for much longer.
The only touch up you should need on a good polishing job would be a cloth and some Mothers Mag aluminum polish. At my business, we polished my partner's valve cover around 14 months ago with no clear coat or anything. He just keeps it clean and touches it up every couple months. Here's the picture we took a couple weeks ago...
And also, if you don't feel like going through the pain of polishing it yourself and just want someone else to do it... you can always just let me know <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
