Default Guy with Grant Steering Wheels CHIME IN!

I just bought a Grant steering wheel and installed it, and the adapter hub is rubbing on the OEM steering column plastic as shown, it scrapes the plastic off and makes an annoying scraping sound, and was wondering what you guys did different to make this not happen.

Sorry about the junky interior, but this is a drag only car and I'm doing some work to take weight out behind the dash.

Thanks guys.

I used a dremel with a sanding drum to shave enough of the plastic away so it wouldnt touch.

sorry for the duh moment, but i fixed it by just putting a couple washers between that hub adapter and the hub to seperate it from the plastic about an eighth inch. theres clear room between the plastic and the adapter now, thanks though.

these are the kind of problems i run into when i work late and already low on sleep....
