Writeup how to replace leather interior in 99 ws6
I changed the name of this thread since I will be creating a writeup of how to take apart your Trans Am front and rear seats.
So, a few months ago I got a complete Red interior from a parted out 96 Trans Am. It was in much better shape than my current interior and it only cost me $100. It was worn pretty good but I liked the color and look so much that I ordered a complete replacement set for it. I am thinking of doing a write up on how to take apart each seat and how to re-assemble it with new covers. If anyone would be interested in seeing this then I will take the time to document it. Here are some pics of what was delivered today. The kit came with both bottom, back and headrest for the fronts and both lowers and backrest for the rears. It also came with the hogring pliers and rings.

That's awesome!
Are you planning on running red anywhere else in the car?
I was eventually going to look into red inserts, door inserts, and carpet...and see about stitching for everything else.

Ill get them up asap, along with some videos as well on how to remove the headrests without removing the seats covers...
Ok, here is the back seat I did this weekend while at my parents house. My GreatGrandmother passed this weekend in Indiana so we all met at my mothers house for a Sunday dinner in her honor. Anyway, I took my rear covers with me so I would have something to do.
Here is the bottom of the lower rear seats, the seam is where the old hog ring clips go, I didnt show how to take them apart cause they are pretty much self explanatory. I'm not going into how to remove them cause it is covered in many other threads.
This kit came with hogrings and hogring pliers however, I recommend getting your own pair, these are free with the kit so you can imagine their quality. The get the job done so I cant really complain much.
just remove these clips from the old seats and pull over your new covers making sure they are centered. Again, this is the easiest of the interior so Im not spending much time on this.
Here is the rear back rest. It was extremely easy as well, just separate the lower seam and use a Philips head screwdriver to separate the carpet from where the seatbelt guide and the hook went through the carpet.
after you free the cover it literally just slides off. there are two velcro strips to help the contour of the new covers but I forgot to take a pic of it.. its a strip about 1" wide and 8" long, it sticks to the foam and then velcros to the seat cover to help the cover contour to the seat back.
Here are some night shots with my I4.
I will post day pics when I get a chance and the material has relaxed a little bit...

Guys, I thought the old red seats I had before looked good. DAMN! The color of these is a bit softer and not quite as overbearing as the originals. Wait till you see them in the daylight. The fronts are going to take me a couple of hours each to do I think. Those will get a much more detailed documentation. I also have the original covers that are worn but can still be used if your current interior is shredded like my originals were.
If someone would like the original covers, let me know.
here is what the fronts look like right now, they have not been recovered yet, however, only the *** area is bad, the rest is in decent shape, not perfect but still usable.
