Default Black hood on red car ?

My T/A is a sleek beek and the hood has dents all over from previous owner but me friend has a perfect black hood That I can have.My question is if I put it on will it look like complete rice death until I can get it painted. My car has other black accent pieces like mirrors rims.

Ehhh wouldn't be my first choice. Personally whenever I see cars with mismatched paint colors I think they look tacky, and really ugly.

Yeah, I cant stand seeing mismatched panels, It looks like someone threw junkyard parts on after a wreck and couldnt afford the paint. Best bet just run your stock hood until you can get the other one painted. Paints not too bad for a hood. Figure 250-500 depending on where you go...

Get the hood, hold it until you can get it painted and keep lumpy on there to take the abuse until you get the new hood on.

I put my WS9 (US Exotics) on to make sure everything lined up correctly and my bro was supposed to shoot it asap, but he took longer then expected. Believe it or not I got numerous compliments on it. When I would tell people that I was planning on painting it they would say no to leave it. But I painted it.

I agree, if it's done right (with an actual black paint job and not just left primed or gelcoated) it can look good. This car is proof. I've seen other shots of this car and have always loved the look of it.

i think aftermarket hoods can get away with it if done right, but stock miscolored hood just looks janky

Depends on the scheme. If youve got the black/red thing going on, then you can make it work.
Red car with black hood, chrome rims and trim? No.

I think a car with a black roof can get away with it easier. Throw it on and see for yourself for a few days. Worse that can happen is waste an hour or so of time.

All of the cars mismatched in this thread look clownshoes.

When painted they all look good!!

I'd say keep it off until you can paint it.

Take the hood, store it until you can get it painted.
