Thanks for the input

I'm new to this forum and I was wondering how can I get rid of the 'shedding' rims?

Well you could start by getting new wheels. I have these for sale....

https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...cas-tires.html

Other than that I'd say get a V8 and a paint job. Sorry but that thing needs some serious TLC.

Start with a paint-job. Go from there.

I like this one but it's too expensive..

What's your budget short-term & long-term budget?
I'm assuming this is a daily driver...

Yep it's a daily driver.

And lol I'll wash it when I get home!

Also, I can't do anything to it performance wise, right? It's a 5-speed

WS6 clone that sucker I hate the way the LT1 birds look but thats my .02 lower it on C5 Z06's or a nice mesh style wheel combo and it would be presentable..

Honestly, if you want to go fast, the cheapest route would be to sell & get a LS1 bird.

If performance isn't your concern (and since you didn't state a budget in your response...):
*TA Hatch
*LS1 Taillights
*Remove Side-Moldings & Align hood
*Paint
*Window Tint
*Suspension
*Wheels

People have told me to sell it. But not many people would wanna buy a stock V6 Firebird.

In the near future, I am planning on getting a T/A

The best and chepeast things you could do are wash and align the hood.

It really needs some paint, and some wheels.
Get a new bird emblem for the front, and the decals for the rear lettering and bird/firebird between the tailights if you're into that kinda thing.

Might get a single in/dual out muffler and some nice tips. Consider swapping to a T/A style rear bumper. Remove the side molding, tint the windows

I'm not sure if you're still in TX but if not ditch the front plate bracket.

Lots of visual potential here. Good luck and be sure and post up when you start doing things.

Questions:

How do I align the hood?

What is side moulding?

Should I paint it back to its original color (Silver?)

i just installed a ram air hood on my 01, this should help you:
http://www.fbodyonline.com/forum/f20...ee-pic-153710/

you should fix the paint first, no point of having nice rims if the paint is all messed up. I'd go for a dark color.

Thanks. I didn't make it, but I've just been to lazy to change it to the one I did make. If that makes any sense.

3.8 has potential as I stated before. Depends on what you want out of it and how much money you've got to burn.

What do you want out of it? Do you want it to look nice? Or be the fastest thing on the road?
Since it's a DD, I assume you cant afford to have it have much down time, so cosmetic things are easier/faster to do than engine work.

What's a DD?

Also, yeah, cosmetic things are more of an issue to me. I want to have a nice car. After that's done I would like to work on the sound of the car but I don't know how to change it.

My friend told me I didnt' have a catalytic converter because my car is so loud lol

Thanks guys !

Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. I started out with a V6. I mostly worked on the appearance of the car instead of trying to make it fast, its kind of pointless in my mind on a V6. To make it look better:

-Wash it, clay bar it, wax
-Align hood
-Tint windows
-Remove side molding

Those are really basic just to get it looking decent, especially if you're looking to sell it fast to get an ls1 like you mentioned. Good luck man
