Flipping or spinning MAF Qs

So can the MAF be turned or even flipped backwards? The point is to hide more wires. I can't think that it would be a problem but I don't know the inner workings of MAFs enough to know for sure. Thanks Guys.

I'm sure the arrow on there directing which way airflow should pass through the sensor is there for a reason. I'd imagine reclocking it would require a tune if its even possible.
