Default My dash is blinding me!

Ok, long story short.... I used this to clean and protect my dash and am now regretting it.

It shines like a sheet of glass and I am looking for something that will strip this off and then a protectant that will have a flat or matte finish. I thought about stripping it off with rubbing alcohol but decided not to do it for fear of harming my interior. I want this stuff completely off before applying a new product. I can't risk being blinded by the sun going down the interstate! Thanks!

This is what you want If you are going to wal-mart to get your stuff.

http://www.dtepstore.com/images/prod...il/MG14116.jpg

But 303 Aerospace Protectant is the best stuff to use.

Might I suggest:

http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-66-ad...nditioner.aspx

After cleaning the dash with:

http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-131-a...r-cleaner.aspx

Both products are not leather specific, so they can be used on your dash, door panels, etc. in addition to leather seats. No shine with SPF 65 UV protection.

I second ADAMS POLISHES!!! I use their VRT (vinyl, rubber, tire). Gives a satin new look to the dash. not that greasy shiny goddy crap. Its by FAR the BEST stuff out there!!! Im a local sub distributor/ detailer. I only do it since im a firm believer of ALL their products. I actually give a 100% money back guarantee. If my customers dont like the product for whatever reason, I buy it back from them and use it for my own cars/ customers. So far Ive had ZERO returns and hundreds on compliments and returning customers!! believe me, Ive tried all other products, from store bought crap, to high end imported detail products. they all are better than nothing, but for the over all value (price, simplicity to use, overall outcome) you CANNOT find a better product.

Thats really good to hear because I tried alot of different products sold at advance auto or auto zone and I haven't been really happy with any of them to be honest. I don't have a set of "go to" products, have plenty of partially used bottles of random car care stuff, lol.

I use that stuff STP puts out with Richard Petty on it, can't think of the name, lol. But I have yet to have a problem with it and it gives a shine that is just enough to notice and no more.

I agree with the 303... I actually did a section of my keyboard the day I received it, it's been roughly 2 years and I can still see the difference in the section I did vs the area I did not apply it to.

Same ^^ 303 is really good stuff. It's kind of expensive, but it gives the dash a nice shine and its supposed to be some of the best UV protection on the market.

I detail cars professionaly and ONLY use this combo for cleaning/finishing leather. If you apply them and feel it's too shiny, just buff it with a dry MF towel and that will reduce the shine.

Adam does not reccomend the VRT for interiors. Works great for tires and trim though.

I like the Meguiar's interior and leather wipes. Seem to work fine with no real glossy glare unlock those stupid armor-all wipes, which could blind a man.
