Default Worth risking taking off door emblems put on with 3M glue?

Long story short, my Trans Am door emblems are put on with 3M Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive. Imo, they are just a little crooked/ slanted.

From what I've read, this adhesive can really hurt the paint. Anyone have any success removing an emblem put on with this without messing up the paint? Is it worth attempting to remove them? (of course if I do they will be reapplied with 3M tape-- you can bet your *** on that)

These can be removed safely,

If it is factory adhesive:
1)Take a hair dryer, not a heat gun! and warm up the pieces.
2)When the adhesive gets soft simply pull them off.
3) After that take some Goof-Off, and adhesive remover, and clean up your car.
4)After that clean it up with alcohol. and reapply your pieces with the new tape.

If it is 3M tape:
1)Run dental floss down behind the pieces like a saw, and cut your way across the backside.
2) After that take some Goof-Off, and adhesive remover, and clean up your car.
3)After that clean it up with alcohol. and reapply your pieces with the new tape.

We can sell you the tape precut for the letters if you like.
Thanks, Roger

Unfortunately this is the stuff used on my letters:

Maybe my paint is still in good shape, hopefully.

It says resistant to heat on that package, so I would try the dental floss method.
Dental floss is slightly rough, and very strong, it should work.

The more I look at I think I better just leave it alone. I'll be the only one that notices one side is "just a little off". Thanks for the help though, love emblempros and the badges I have from you guys!

The only way to do it is still not foolproof, but you would need to douse behind the emblem with 3M adhesive remover and pray that it let go after a heavy application. That stuff is mean and a "hot" adhesive which probably marred the paint anyway. It would really have to bother you to try in my opinion.
