Cool A few pics of my 2000 SLP SS after a good wash

Washed her pretty good yesterday and then went over the entire body with a clay bar kit and then some turtle wax. These pictures were just after the wash, forgot to take some after the clay bar and wax but she defn looks great.

I have a billet grille on the way which will be painted black then put on, as well as red CAMARO inserts for the rear bumper. I don't want to do too much because pending what SLP comes back to me with, this is 1 of 500 Black SS's made with the SLP package and I'm kind of nostalgic.

I also changed out the antennae for a much shorter one as you can tell in this next pic. And here's the definition of a true weekend warrior, she won't move for 2 weeks.

See you still have switched the tips on the exhaust. Lol.

I think a black SLP SS grille painted to continue the stripes all the way down would look good...

Looks good. Clean and simple. Should look good with the grille and inserts.

The tips do look weird from that angle, but the longer part is on the inside of the bumper so that they are right, this I can assure you And I will take a pic on wedn and post it so you can see. Also the 3rd pic you can see that they're right

Thanks, and I was actually thinking of putting an SS symbol right in the middle of the grille... but having it painted to match the stripes is a good idea, I may do that....

ALSO if I have it painted to match then I can take my SLP strut bar off and have the spray that as well, defn a good idea.

Thanks, I just got word back from SLP today, my car is one of 562 made in 2000 in black with that package on it, makes it kinda rare IMO. But I've found 18x9.5in ZR1's on ebay for less than 500$ shipped, so long as my SS center caps will fit then I'll be getting those this winter along with doing the cadillac cts-v big brake upgrade.

Car looks good, my '98 is a weekend driver too

What is it you're referring to as the "SLP Package"?

My '98 is one of 3XX Navy Blue Metallic cars that was touched by SLP in 1998 for at least one of the available Y2Y options...but I'm not aware of an SLP Package per say.

Hello Tony,

Your SLP build number is 6118. The SLP options include: Base Alterations, Exhaust, Mats, Key Fobs, Plaque & Lubes. Your vehicle is one of 562 (Black, Manual trans & T-Top.)

So I guess not package, just an arragement of options. Someone also added subfram connectors underneath as well. And also has the slp lid, smooth bellows, and possibly a diff mass air flow. But from this http://www.jegs.com/p/SLP/SLP-Camaro...57610/10002/-1 I basically have everything exept that air flow box, thats why I've been saying package.

Its my understanding you can also have SLP reprint and issue you a replacement SLP window sticker if you don't have yours (I need to do this as I have misplaced mine). It was placed on the vehicle next to the GM window sticker with the added options and then the total vehicle price. My GM sticker read $29,130...total vehicle price was just over $32,000. Mine came with: dash plaque/key fobs, car cover, floor mats, chrome wheels, SLP dual/dual.

The only options available from SLP for '98-'00

Dash Plaque/Key Fobs
Car Cover
Floor Mats
Chrome Wheels
SLP Dual/Dual Exhaust
Bilstein Suspension
Aburn Rear Diff
Synthetic Fluids Package

Then for '01-'02 they added

SS front grille
I believe a 1LE suspension option
Center Mount Exhaust in addition to the Dual/Dual
345hp package (black wing lid and one of the exhausts)
BF Goodrich KDW tires

Its a gorgeous car buddy. Here with mine 13yrs old and still looking new I get compliments every single time I get it out. Its great, enjoy it!

425HP, also have it under my d-side tailight so it matches the location of the "SS" on the pass side.

That is wicked. Btw, I was always meaning to ask this. I see alot of cars with their HP emblem on their cars, what if you add something that adds a few more horse's, do you keep the sticker as is or get another sticker with the accurate HPs lol?

Haha already contacted slp, I'm ordering a birth certificate and another window sticker. Your car looks great! I have a billet grille on order, only 40$ shipped off eBay, I'm going to Sand it down and paint I black, and also try to paint it to follow my front stripes. If it doesn't turn out well then I'm just going to order a black billet grille. Bbl ceramic long tube headers and y pipe are also in the future
