Not sure if yours are the same as mine, but I made a slit in the rubber grommet thing, and used it to support the back end of my 9006 bulbs. Then I used a zip tie to secure the grommet to the housing.

And with the grommet rotated with the slit facing down, you can't even see it.

I this pic, you can see how the end of the 9006 bulb sticks out a bit, which is why I had to cut a hole in the cap for it to stick out of.

So did you just unscrewed the metal plating that holds the original light bulb? How about using an actual H1 bulb?

The seller goes by Zomk Speed or ZS Racing

Easy as 1 2 3

1) unclip old bulb and remove
2) place new HID bulb in
3) clip it in place - may take a little grunt because of the thicker base

Done

For my rubber cap, I didn't cut it down the side. Seems like a bad idea, plus you have to replace the ziptie every time. I just snipped a small hole in the back of the cap and fed the HID wires through that.

(1) both H1 6000K bulbs were dimmer than the 10000K 9006 bulbs I was using
(2) Don't have to put new zip ties everytime. The covers just pop off and on as needed.
