When I had my heat er core blow in my old Chevelle, I took the carpet out of the car so that I could super deep clean it, and air dry . . . I guess the same thing needs to be done with your trunk carpet.

^ That since the carpet in the trunk isn't connected to the rest of the carpet in the car.

Tuff Stuff from Advance Auto is good for final cleanup after a good shampooing or steaming.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I felt like a total idiot for leaving the bottle in there, but I've had alot on my mind what kind of shampoo should I use? The same type of steamer used in a house?

Simple green works well in carpet cleaners. Lot cheaper than carpet machine cleaner. Plus 1000's of other uses

I like Tuff stuff and Adam's interior cleaner, has a hard bristle brush that makes getting stains out easy!

Almost any all purpouse cleaner will work, Soaking it in there, scrubbing, rinsing and a hot water extraction will do wonders.
