Default Car Covers for outdoor storage

I am looking for an inexpensive car cover for outdoor storage (Florida - sun, dirt, tree sap). I am looking at the covers priced under $100 (Classic Accessaries, PolyPro III, ADCO Contour, etc). Any suggestions on brands and stores/websites?

I purchased mine from ebay user autoarmour-auctions. It lasted about 2 years outside 24/7 even snow.

Ive never been a fan of car covers since any dirt on the paint would only be sanded by the cover over the paint with wind.I would say a good wash and wax would be better than a cover IMO.

I wouldnt leave a car cover on my car outside. If you care about your paint at all you wouldnt. It would act like sand paper like said above because dust will still get underneath.

Tree sap was my worry. But, everything I have read supports NOT covering a car if it is stored outside.

I had a wolf car cover on a car I stored outside for about 3 months. When I took it off, there were areas on the paint (mainly front and rear bumpers) where the paint had worn off due to the car cover flapping in the wind for 3 months. I'll never make that mistake again.

Check out http://www.empirecovers.com. They have quality, durable, and non-abrasive covers at low prices.
In relation to others that had problems due to the wind, think about investing in a Cable & Lock Kit (also available through Empire Covers).

Car covers will ruin your paint.

Not only will they create swirls and tiny scratches, **** can get caught up and under them.

thanks for all the helpful advice guys. i'll definitely steer clear of covers. not to , but is there anything that can be done besides just wax often for cars that sit in the sun all day?

With a good waxing, your paint should look fine, even after 10 years of being outside.

My old Z28 was an outside car, and aside from a couple of small scratches from dicks in the parking lot, the paint looked damn near new.
