Default Detail - Tahoe

Finished up this older Tahoe for a buddy of mine with an Escalade I take care of on a regular basis. Just wanted a quick one step and wax. I took it a little further for him because he comes to me all the time and he's my buddy of course.

Anyways... He wanted it cleaned up to get the paint looking better and not so dull and ridded with swirls. The passenger side had been repainted (very poorly I might add) and had a haze on those panels along with deep sanding marks (which you can see in some pics) but those weren't to be corrected on this "beater" this go around.

ONR wash with 4 MF's
Clayed w/Meguiars clay
Wheels/Tires/Wheel wells cleaned with APC+ and various brushes
Trim/Tires dressed with ShowRoomFX White pearl
Glass treated with Stoners Invisible Glass
Corrected with Meguiars DA MF D300
Topped with Meguiars DA MF D301

Hood before. Paint was engulfed in deep swirling. (most of the truck looked this way)

After correcting with D300

Passenger fender. Strong haze and deeeeep swirling coupled with a poor paint job.

My buddy didn't want me to touch the passenger side but I couldn't let it go. I gave it two passes with D300.

Hood in sunlight.

Driver side rear quarter uncorrected:

Corrected

Haze on the passenger side door. If you look where my gloves are, you can seee the deep sanding marks.

Notice the clarity in the picture as apposed to the one above. Big difference, not perfect...but much better. (again he didn't want me to touch this side so I did it as a favor)

Rear gate

Thanks for looking.

Questions/comments welcome

That new MF DA systems is getting rave reviews over on the Meguiar's website. I still run on a rotary but something to look into when I want something not as hardcore on swirl removal.

Something like this I would have normally grabbed M105/M205 and most likely gone with that.

This eliminates a second step as the D300 finishes down very very nicely with little to no hazing. (certain scenarios)

Yea I played but I believe yall were playing in C league right. We were in the I believe (D & E) league. I don't know what place we got officially but it was overall a good day. We ended up playing 5 games, lost 2 but we were all beat. Our first game was at 8 AM and our last finished at 6 PM. This was our first tournament play with this team so alot of the guys were worn out.

Good times though! I was going to come say Hi but we had a game and I didn't see you after.

Nope, we were in "E" I picked up with that team two weeks ago since I have a few buddies on there I play league with and they have been trying to get me out there. I wasn't to thrilled about the no home runs thing but I was surprised how good some of those guys are for being E. I like to play up but it was fun. What team were you on? I was on Southern Boyz. pm me if you need to.
