Default CME owners, I need your help

So I have neglected the tips for some time and have a lot of black crap all over them. What products would you recomend to get them clean again? I have tried washing them with soap and water and a SOS pad, looks better, but still not clean. Thanks for any help.

I got tired of the CME getting the carbon engrained in the metal. In the end, I took the tips off and had them ceramic coated and the carbon would just wipe off after. Before I ceramic coated them I used a die grinder with a rubber eraser that managed to get the metal really shiny. Hope that helps!

I spray a little on my tips inside and out and all the carbon crap dissolves right away and they shine up.

I sanded the lips with 1000 and 1500 grit sand paper then finished it with chrome polish, came out real good.

Forgot to mention I got a crappy photo in my album if you want to check it out, you can still tell they shine good and trust me, they were all black as well.

when I bought my car from the dealer, my CME tips were black. You couldnt even see them.

I took a wire wheel and hit them real quick. Then some sand paper...then aluminum polish. Came out looking like new.

now everytime I wash my car, I just whipe them off.
