Default Converting 98-2002 Trans Am to a Formula body package?

Has anyone converted their 98-2002 trans am body package to a formula style body package. If so, is this any easy task? I'm looking for a 98-2002 Firebird, but the formula style isn't as easy to find as a trans am. I don't like the look of all the ground effects personally.

Formula's all by themselve's are harder to find. But they use the same body parts as any v6 firebird, so they should be rediculously easy to find. On top that, you can definitely find plenty of people who would swap out bumpers/sideskirts/hatches with you if you have a trans am since those body pieces are much more sought after. Make a WTT thread and see how things go.

Jeez you should've bought my 99 black Formula. It was such a clean car.

Actually, my father bought it with one look. We're talking about converting this to a TA. He said I want the hood with the 2 scoops...lol

I've converted 2 formulas before and honestly there so many V6 birds even if you got a TA you could sadly convert to a TA...

I've got a V6 with the W68 package. I'll swap you parts if you're anywhere near me...all but the side skirts since there are so many brackets.

You could convert from the Trans Am very easily, and probably pay for painting the parts with the money you make. I don't know why you'd go backwards, but that's just me. The Trans Am parts (hatch etc) go for more $$$ than the V6 models (most people cant give away a formula hatch, myself included).. take advantage of that. The formula front bumper is sweet, but I'd keep the T/A rear bumper. I don't like the bubble around the license plate.

Don't like the ground effects. I am looking for round front lights. Most nhra cars are formula based. This will be a potential stocker/superstocker

Well my offer stands. If you're ever around this way, I'll swap you parts. I even have the side lenses shaved...pewter in color.

I prefer the formulas too thats why i have owned 2, but i like the ta rear better no skirts though. But anyway its ridiculously easy the hardest part would be the front bumper. I have converted rear hatch and bumper to ta on my formula and it was easy so swapping it back wouldnt be any harder.

On LT1 birds I think the formula looks a lot sleeker and cleaner than the t/a
