Default Sirius Inv2 custom mount

had some free time yesterday and a new console for my car so I made a mount for my satellite radio

oh, if you can help with the wiring, please post here - THANKS

https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...ite-radio.html

materials - the plexi is black, just has a protective paper on it

cig lighter removed and cubby hole opened up

1 of 3 blanks - I picked the one that fit the best

the Sirius unit fits snugly and rests against this 'brace' I made

test fit #1

test fit #2

finished

lemme know what you think

fyi, with the ashtray door open, there's almost an inch of room between it and the radio. I mocked up an auto shift **** and in Park, I can still see/reach the entire unit easily. Best part, the screen's letters are orange which match the Pontiac orange perfectly

Nice dude! One small suggestion though, I'd paint the panel you made semi-gloass black. The high-gloss doesn't match the rest of the console, unless you have high gloss accents in the rest of your interior.

Yeah, I thought about doing that today actually... I made it so it pops off pretty easily and I just happen to have some flat black paint here. We'll see

also, if you look at the last pic, the screen area is gloss black and the button bars on the top and bottom are textured almost identical to the console... the gloss plexi kinda continues the theme - gloss/flat/gloss/flat...

I did notice that after I posted. I think it looks good this way but I usually go after a "coulda been stock" look so I would paint it
