Default Those who have had their hood painted..

Im thinking of buying an OEM SS hood but wanted to know what others have paid to have it sanded (My Z is Monterey Maroon), prepped and painted.

Thanks in advance.

Mine cost $600 total. Make sure you go with a shop that has experience in painting fiberglass/composite body parts, especially hoods. I installed mine first then drove the car to the shop. Depending on the fit of the hood, you might have to pay a couple hours of labor to properly fit the hood.

OEM is the only way to go. No headaches like BLKTA is talking about.

Hey Glitch - hows it going ?

Yeah, I know OEM is the right choice - now i just need to find someone local willing to sell me their perfect SS hood. I was just curious what it would cost to fully re-paint it since I have an non-SS color.

Oh well
